R. James P. Morton has been an advisor to Peter Cundill & Associates (Bermuda) Ltd. (“PCB”) since 1996. In addition, James became the Chief Investment Officer (2006) of CIM Investment management Ltd. (London, England). From 1996 - 2006, James was an Investment Director of European American Securities, Inc. (London, England). He worked at Chelverton Investments, New York and London from 1991-1996. Between 1987–1991, James was the Director of Corporate Finance, Samuel Montague Inc., New York. In 1986, James was the Director of Business Development, Citicorp, New York. In 1985, he was the Principal with Arthur Young in Milwaukee. Between 1979–1984 James worked as Manager, Bain and Company in Boston and London.
James received a Law degree with Honors from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University (1975), an M.A. from Stanford Food Research Institute (1979), and an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business (1979). James is also registered with the U.K. Financial Services Authority.
Tadamichi Furuta has been a representative of The Cundill Group in Tokyo, Japan since 2002. Tadamichi has been the President of Tokyo Investment Research Centre, Tokyo since 1994. Tadamichi was Deputy General Manager, 1992–1993; Senior Vice-President 1986-1992; First Vice President, 1985–1986; Equity Research Sales, 1984-1985 all at Nikko Securities Japan, Europe and Canada. From 1982-1984 Tadamichi was the Managing Director at Interglobe Japan Limited, Tokyo. Between 1973-1974 he worked as Assistant Manager, Sanei Sangyo Company Limited, Tokyo.
Tadamichi received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Dokkyo University, Saitama, Japan (1973). He completed his Canadian Securities Course (1986); passed his Partners, Directors and Officers Exam with the Ontario Securities Commission (1987); completed Chartered Securities Analyst program with the Security Analysts Association of Japan (1992) and completed the Compliance Officer’s Manual with the Japan Securities Dealers Association (1993)
